i have an influx of concepts which almooosts Translates 2 a concrete thought. My neurons usually just go “Boyfrieeendddd!!” every millisecond. but if you wanna know a divine intervention i have gone thru lately; I’m becoming more detached from the outside world. i only nurture a small circle of friends, and i’m not interested in expanding it. but it’s because i Already feel content w what i have. it’s contradictory because i do love having mundane interactions and small talk, but i now avoid intimacy. when it comes to investing in many friendships, it just loses any sense of depth. I’ve been in a cycle of shallowness from trying hard to please and align myself to the ideologies of others, feel a sense of belonging, only to grow frustrated with how repetitive, one-sided, and meaningless those connections turned out. I realized i can instead focus on what matters to me, and that i don’t need more besides the valuable things i have in my life... my sweet husband being my primary concern.❤︎︎ This is why i have chosen to distance from every friend group i was part of. i decided to treat social media as an archive for my ideas, rambles, and taste for aesthetics, regardless of having an audience, not to seek connections. in my opinion, expecting genuinity from these places is a form of insanity!
